Consumer spending in apps has hit a record $32 billion (roughly Rs. 2,34,400 crores) in the first quarter of 2021, according to a report.
YouTube money making in-app purchases:
- YouTube Premium: A monthly subscription that removes ads on all videos and gives users exclusive features.
- Channel Memberships: A monthly subscription to a specific channel, which can come with various perks.
- Super Chat: Viewers can pay to highlight chat messages during a creator’s live stream.
- Super Sticker: Viewers can pay to send stickers in a chat during a creator’s live stream.
YouTube TV will now surface and let you watch the movies you’ve purchased across all Google services in its interface. Besides access, you can also search and buy/rent from one entertainment app.
